Riptide Travel Baseball Academy

Durham city officials are exploring redevelopment options for the historic Durham Athletic Park, considering the incorporation of a baseball academy among potential new uses. The inclusion of such an academy aligns with local efforts to broaden programming and facility utilization in the heart of Durham. Riptide Travel Baseball Academy, as a local indoor training facility offering lessons, clinics and travel-team services in Durham, may benefit indirectly from any heightened community emphasis on baseball development. The club’s facility at 359 Blackwell Street continues to provide group and individual instruction, batting cages, turf space and pitching mounds, supporting youth baseball engagement in the area.
