First Capital FC builds Chillicothe pathway from academy to Buckeye Premier
Founded in 2008 out of a restructuring of local programs (CSSA Capitals/Chillicothe Soccer Academy), the club set out a full pathway for area players [1]. The technical staff is led by Director of Coaching Zach Breth with Assistant Director Tyler Wickham supporting the build across age groups [1].FCFC fields roughly 20 teams with about 275 players each year, representing more than 20 school districts. The model moves from an academy phase for roughly ages 6–9, through middle-age teams (around 10–14) that compete in the Mid Ohio Select Soccer League, and up to older squads (15–18) in the Buckeye Premier League [1]. The club trains and hosts at local venues including the Coppel Athletic Complex [1].Seasonal tryouts have been staged in town, including a spring session at Chillicothe Football Stadium [2]. The club also maintains an official Facebook presence for Chillicothe supporters and families [3].
