Girls’ Baseball Makes History in Waltham Little League
In Waltham, the local Little League saw a historic moment when two all‑girl baseball teams faced off for the first time. Organized by parents who responded to their daughters’ interest in playing with other girls, both teams joined the Waltham Little League and even secured a win against a boys’ team this season. The teams added a unique flair with pink and bedazzled hats and celebratory cartwheels after outs, reflecting an enjoyable but competitive environment. Baseball Unlimited is monitoring community developments such as this as interest in youth baseball and softball grows in Waltham’s sports scene.
