Grand Prairie Stadium Continues Post‑AirHogs Legacy as Cricket Hub
Grand Prairie Stadium, former home of the Texas AirHogs baseball team, continues its evolution as a prominent cricket venue. The stadium, which served as the AirHogs’ home from 2008 through their final season in 2020, was redeveloped and reopened in July 2023 for Major League Cricket’s inaugural season (en.wikipedia.org). As of April 2026, it remains a key facility for cricket, hosting the United States national team and domestic tournaments (en.wikipedia.org). Although the Texas AirHogs no longer compete, the venue’s transformation sustains its sporting relevance in Grand Prairie and the broader DFW region.
