Hit Dawg Academy Expands Arm Development Offerings
Hit Dawg Academy in Plymouth is advancing its baseball and softball programming with the 2025–2026 High Intensity Throwing Program, targeted at athletes aged 12–18. The initiative offers multiple frequency options—two, three, or four sessions per week—led by Erick Nelson, assistant coach of St. Olaf College’s baseball staff. Athletes have responded positively, with several academy members achieving personal-record velocity gains, including one player reaching 93 MPH. The program emphasizes mechanics, strength development, data-driven training, and weighted ball exercises. Hit Dawg Academy continues its focus on fundamentals and comprehensive player development as it supports athletes striving for higher levels of competition.
