Hooks Blankled in Pitchers’ Duel as Rehab Stars Participate
The Corpus Christi Hooks Baseball Club dropped a 2–0 decision to Amarillo on May 12, as Jackson Nezuh delivered five shutout innings while Josh Hader continued a rehab assignment with a scoreless sixth inning, though two runs in the eighth proved decisive. Notable participating Astros rehab players Jake Meyers and Jeremy Peña also took the field, with Peña exiting after a collision and being hit by a pitch. Nezuh allowed just three singles while striking out three, lowering his ERA to 3.86 in six appearances. Hader struck out four over three scoreless rehab innings between Corpus Christi and Sugar Land. The Hooks fell in the series opener at Whataburger Field before 3,017 fans.
