Independence League adds Oahe Zap in Pierre for 2023; Hyde Stadium tabbed as home
The Oahe Zap will compete in Independence League Baseball beginning with the 2023 season, bringing a summer-collegiate club to Pierre with Hyde Stadium set as the home park [1][2].Ownership and staff were outlined at launch, with Jackson Bruce and Jamy Habeger named co-owners and Habeger also taking the reins as head coach. The organization operates as Zap Baseball LLC, a local listing reflected in the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce directory [1][5].At launch, the club also signaled it was building out operations — from a general manager hire to host families for players and coaches — and pointed fans to official web and social channels for updates [1][3]. The team site is active with contact information and ticketed-team details, and it carries the roster for supporters tracking the summer lineup [3][4].For Pierre baseball fans accustomed to summer nights at Hyde, the Zap add a new chapter to the capital city’s diamond calendar under the Independence League banner [1][2].
