Indianapolis Indians Launch Fun at Bat Program Across Central Indiana
The Indianapolis Indians have expanded youth baseball and softball opportunities by partnering with USA Baseball’s Fun at Bat program, now available to elementary schools across Central Indiana. The initiative aims to deliver a comprehensive, free curriculum emphasizing character development, functional movement, literacy, active play, and enjoyment for K–5 students. Participating schools receive equipment kits, digital instructional materials, and a co‑branded banner, with the first ten schools eligible for a visit from the team’s mascot, Rowdie. This regional youth-focused programming complements ongoing recreational efforts such as those by Allisonville Youth Baseball and Softball, reinforcing community-wide engagement in America’s pastime.
