Kentucky 2A State Baseball & Softball Championships to Take Place in Owensboro
Kentucky Sports Academy serves as a key regional training facility near Mt. Washington, but this week’s focus centers on the broader baseball and softball landscape in the Bluegrass State. The Kentucky 2A State Baseball and Softball Championships are set for April 17–18, 2026, with softball games scheduled at Jack C. Fisher Park and baseball at Apollo High School. The tournaments will crown champions among mid‑size high schools across Kentucky, with teams such as Murray, Whitley County, Glasgow, and Nelson County in the baseball field, and Harrison County, Casey County, and North Oldham competing in softball. The event underscores the state’s commitment to youth baseball and softball development, a mission echoed by facilities like Kentucky Sports Academy. The championships continue a tradition that began in 2021 and include scholarship opportunities for student‑athletes.
