Local Baseball & Softball Activity Heats Up in Texarkana Region
Southern Athletics Baseball Academy continues to cultivate talent in Texarkana, with the academy maintaining a record of college commitments and producing MLB draftees, including Hunter Hollan, drafted by the Reds and Brewers, and commits like Rian Cellers to Texas Tech and others to Arkansas, Kansas and Southern Illinois (perfectgame.org). Meanwhile, the broader baseball and softball community in Texarkana is seeing increased activity; the Swanger Sports Complex is set to host 17 baseball and softball tournaments beginning later this month, drawing teams from across Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma and providing regional competition opportunities (1017hotfm.com).
