Maple Grove survives 2OT vs Eagan, then blitzes Buffalo to reach Class AAA final
Maple Grove’s march continued the way this season has gone all fall: with composure and punch. The Crimson carried a spotless 14-0-0 regular season into the postseason [3] and then outlasted Eagan in double overtime in the Class 3A quarterfinal [1].With momentum on their side, Maple Grove jumped all over Buffalo to secure a place in the Class AAA championship. Everett Johnston struck twice inside the opening seven minutes as the Crimson won 3-1 to advance [2].A rain-soaked Section 5AAA final night against Mounds View set the tone for a battle-tested bracket [4], and the unbeaten run now stretches to the state title game [2].
