Masters Tournament Kicks Off as Spring Creek Country Club Awaits Local Golf Momentum
Spring Creek Country Club in Crockett, Texas, is entering April with local golf largely in the background of professional action. While the club has not featured prominently in recent headlines, the sport of golf has drawn attention statewide with the 90th Masters Tournament set to begin April 9 at Augusta National in Georgia (en.wikipedia.org). Meanwhile in Texas, the Texas Children’s Houston Open concluded in March, where Gary Woodland claimed the title with a 259 (−21) at Memorial Park Municipal Golf Course (en.wikipedia.org). Though not directly involving Spring Creek Country Club, such high-profile state competitions offer context for regional golf interest.
