Meridian is doubling up at the Cal Ripken World Series, with two youth teams earning their way onto the national stage. The 10U Select opened hot, stacking a 5–3 win over Winchester (NH) with a 10–1 result against Australia to start 2–0 [1][2].The 10U’s comeback against Winchester featured a Player of the Game nod for Maddox Bullock, and the group backed it up against the “Aussie Drop Bears,” where Eli Shinoda took Player of the Game honors in the 10–1 victory [1].Next up for Meridian 10U Select is Crown Point Bulldogs White (Indiana) as bracket play tightens and the spotlight grows on both Meridian squads [1][2]. Community backing has surged around the teams as they represent the city on the Ripken stage [2][3].A 12U Meridian team is also World Series-bound, adding to a landmark week for the program and its families [4][2].
