New Community Soccer Pitch Opens Near Harris County Youth Football Areas
A new mini-soccer pitch and associated clinics have been unveiled at Freed Park in Spring Branch, expanding youth access to training facilities in Harris County. The project, a collaboration among Harris County Precinct 4, Dynamo & Dash Charities, and Chevron, includes a covered mini‑pitch aimed at all-weather practice opportunities and hosts free “Goals for Girls” clinics for ages 6–14 led by Houston Dash players. The initiative supports grassroots soccer engagement and aligns with regional efforts to expand equitable access to the sport. Harris County Youth Football, while not directly affiliated with the new facility, operates within the same broader youth soccer ecosystem and may benefit indirectly from the enhanced local infrastructure and community interest.
