NY Nationals rebrand with Steel Sports Academy; Bohemia facility marked closed
For years, the NY Nationals operated out of 170 Wilbur Pl in Bohemia, offering one‑on‑one and group training with a staff of baseball coaches and a listed contact at (631) 848‑3080 [1][2].In late 2017, the program joined forces with Baseball Heaven and Steel Sports Academy and rebranded as the Steel Sports Academy Nationals, setting orientation for December 2–3 in Bohemia, winter workouts starting in January, and naming Rick Caputo as SSA Nationals president [3]. The club later signed off as the NY Nationals after 10 years, thanking players and coaches for the ride [4].Today, the Wilbur Place location is labeled “permanently closed” on MapQuest [5]. The New York Nationals Baseball Club & Sports Academy also appears in BBB records as a Bohemia baseball club and is listed as not BBB accredited [6].
