PDX Team Training Facility Details and Local Baseball-Softball News
The PDX Team Training facility, located in Northwest Portland near Montgomery Park off I‑405, occupies a 4,500‑square‑foot indoor turfed and netted space equipped with four cages, pitching machines, and pitching mounds, offering structured training options for baseball and softball groups (northsidepdx.com). Meanwhile, baseball and softball infrastructure in the Portland area continues to develop. A new professional women's softball team, the Portland Cascade, will launch its inaugural season playing home games at Hillsboro Ballpark as part of Athletes Unlimited’s second season, which begins in June and concludes with a championship series on ESPN (kptv.com). Together, these developments underscore the region’s growing investment in both training facilities and competitive softball opportunities.
