Pelicans Drop Ninth Straight, Continue Losing Skid
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans extended their longest losing streak of the season to nine games following a 4–1 home defeat to the Wilson Warbirds at Pelicans Ballpark on May 26, 2026. The Warbirds broke through with a fifth‑inning RBI double by Brady Ebel and added another run in the eighth via a ground‑rule double after an error, while Pelicans’ lefty Pierce Coppola took the loss despite eight strikeouts over four innings. Despite going hitless beyond Eli Lovich’s fourth‑inning solo home run—his fourth hit of the night—the team could not avoid a ninth consecutive loss. The Pelicans and Warbirds return to action tomorrow at Pelicans Ballpark, with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM.
