Port Adelaide Unveils Ambitious Alberton Precinct Redevelopment
Port Adelaide Football Club has unveiled concept plans for a substantial mixed‑use precinct adjacent to Alberton Oval. The proposal, known as Alberton Square, spans approximately 20,000 square metres and aims to integrate commercial, residential, health, and community facilities alongside the club’s high‑performance and community sport infrastructure at the Oval (afl.com.au). The club has acquired 26 residential properties since 2023 to assemble the site, with planning and rezoning processes now underway and community information sessions scheduled (afl.com.au). Alberton Oval continues to serve as the club’s training, administration, and match‑day base, with current redevelopment works including new AFLW changerooms, coaching facilities, and expanded grandstand seating (afl.com.au).
