Prune Packers open with 6–5 win at Recreation Park
Opening night in Healdsburg delivered a tight 6–5 win, with Alex Leopard launching a three‑run home run that provided the decisive runs at Recreation Park. The evening began with a ceremonial first pitch from Mayor Ariel Kelley and wrapped with the crowd in full voice [1].The Packers’ summer setup remains rooted in community: a local nonprofit program drawing college talent to Recreation Park each year and energizing downtown on warm weeknights [2][1]. Broadcast arrangements and fundraising efforts were part of the Opening Night slate as the summer calendar got underway [1].
