Quad City Steamwheelers: Moline’s indoor football standard-bearer in the IFL
The Quad City Steamwheelers are a professional indoor American football team based in Moline, Illinois, competing in the Indoor Football League and representing the Quad Cities on the indoor gridiron [1]. The modern iteration revives a name that featured in the arena era, when the original franchise competed in AF2 during the early 2000s [1].Returning to the turf for 2019, the club joined the IFL and finished seventh that season, a campaign captured in season highlights that underscored the program’s renewed footprint in the league [1][2].
