Rattlers Open 2026 Season with New Quarterback at the Helm
Arizona Rattlers have commenced their 2026 Indoor Football League campaign with Max Meylor installed as the starting quarterback following the departure of Dalton Sneed. Head coach Kevin Guy noted that while the early part of training camp presented a learning curve for Meylor, he grew more comfortable in the offense as preparations progressed. Veteran Drew Powell enters the season as the backup option. The receiving corps, led by Corey Reed Jr., stands out as one of the most capable groups the team has seen under Guy’s tenure. Reed praised the group’s intelligence, speed, and chemistry with the new offense and expressed confidence in Meylor’s grasp of the playbook. Team officials view the quarterback transition and rejuvenated wide receiving unit as pivotal factors heading into the new season.
