Royals reach 2026 VBL Championship Series, hosting Charlottesville in multiple home dates
Winchester’s summer built from a road opener at Strasburg on May 29, 2026, setting the tone for a postseason push in the Valley Baseball League [1]. The Royals later brought the Express to town for a playoff Game 1 at Winchester, a marker of their steady climb through the bracket [2].That surge carried into the Championship Series, where Winchester matched up with the Charlottesville Tom Sox. The set included a Game 2 dated July 29, 2026 [3], and multiple home dates at Winchester with the Tom Sox in town, giving the Royals faithful more than one crack at finals baseball on their own field [4][5].At minimum, the series stretched to three games, and the Royals’ path from Opening Night through the finals stamped 2026 as a campaign that went the distance in the VBL [1][3][5].
