Sachem Little League closes, cites declining registration
Sachem Little League has closed, citing declining registration and thanking the community for its support over the years [1]. Based in Lake Ronkonkoma, the program operated at Union Ave and offered baseball and softball across divisions from tee ball up through Juniors and Challenger [2].The league’s footprint stretched across generations. Sachem youth baseball and softball marked a 50th anniversary celebration in 2002, a milestone that underscores how deeply the game has been woven into local fields and family calendars [4]. In past seasons, registration brought together age-group teams from across the Sachem area for spring play and community events [3].
