Shelby Post 82 handles Gastonia Post 23, 5–1, on the road
Shelby made the trip to Gaston County and came back with a 5–1 result over Gastonia Post 23 on June 9, a steady away-day performance that fit the club’s early-summer rhythm [1].The group features continuity across back-to-back seasons, with the senior roster listed on American Legion registrations for both 2025 and 2026 showing multiple returners — a steady base for manager and staff to lean on as the schedule tightens [2][3].The tradition continues to run deep for Post 82, a fixture in Shelby’s baseball community with a long-standing American Legion pedigree [4].
