Southern California Diamond Baseball Holdings Expansion Highlights Relevant Baseball Climate
Diamond Baseball Holdings has confirmed its acquisition of three Minor League Baseball affiliates in Southern California: the Tri‑City Dust Devils (Angels High‑A), Modesto Nuts (Mariners Single‑A) and Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (Dodgers Single‑A). The affiliations remain in place through the 2025 season. Starting in 2026, the Mariners’ Single‑A affiliate will move from Modesto to the Inland Empire 66ers, the Angels’ Single‑A affiliate will shift from Inland Empire to Rancho Cucamonga, and the Dodgers’ affiliate will relocate from Rancho Cucamonga to a new DBH‑owned team in Ontario. An 8,000‑seat stadium designed by Populous is set to open in 2026 as part of this expansion. The developments in Southern California’s adult and amateur baseball landscape provide context for the region's competitive environment in which the California Adult Baseball Organization (CABO) operates.
