SSBJJ in Alexandria Continues to Drive Local BJJ Growth
SSBJJ – SCHOOL OF SUBMISSIONS OF BRAZILIAN JIU‑JITSU, founded in 2018 by Ahmed Sobhy, remains a central institution in Alexandria’s Brazilian Jiu‑Jitsu community. The club, recognized as the oldest BJJ school in the city, continues to influence local martial arts culture and contributed to establishing Egypt’s first “Submission Only” tournament format (ajptour.com). Community discussions further highlight SSBJJ’s ongoing regional prominence, particularly through the Alexandria Open, a recurring competition organized by the club and recognized as one of the more substantial events in Egypt’s grappling circuit (reddit.com).
