Summer baseball report: Prune Packers seize first place behind shutout, eye sixth straight title
Healdsburg’s early‑summer surge gathered pace with a 3–0 shutout of the Lincoln Potters, the signature result in a five‑game winning streak that pushed the Packers into first place by late June [2]. The rotation set the tone while the bats steadied after an early league setback [2].Veteran skipper Joey Gomes, in his 14th season, has assembled another roster rich with Division I talent, positioning the club to chase a sixth straight summer‑league crown [1]. JC Osorio‑Agard has paced the lineup in the opening weeks, adding thump to a balanced order [2].It’s a run built on continuity: Healdsburg lifted a third consecutive league title in 2023, the latest milestone in a multi‑year arc of summer dominance [3].
