Turf Athletics & Denny Baseball anchor year-round training in Winter Garden
Turf Athletics has been part of the local baseball and softball scene since 2007, when John and Lore Denny opened the doors in Winter Garden. The facility was built with a pro’s eye: four professional-size batting cages, a multi-use indoor turf area, outdoor training space, an on-site pro shop, and hours seven days a week [1].The staff works with players of all ages, offering individual lessons, team reservations, seasonal camps, and birthday-party packages, with professional players also using the space to get their reps [1]. Denny Baseball complements that setup with private baseball instruction by appointment in Winter Garden, giving hitters and pitchers one-on-one attention alongside cage and turf work [2][3].John focuses on coaching while Lore runs marketing and business operations; the pair leaned on the Florida SBDC at UCF for planning, financing, zoning, and licensing as they brought the facility to life [1].
