UMAC Baseball anchors Boyds youth diamond with Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth programs from T‑Ball to 12U
From T‑Ball fundamentals to Kid Pitch weekends, UMAC Baseball sets the pace for youth ball in Boyds as a chartered Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth member. The club fields age‑based teams including 10U and 12U divisions and runs seasonal spring and fall registration with local sponsors backing the program [1].The rec slate pairs UMAC squads with neighboring leagues across Upper Montgomery and lower Frederick County, keeping travel manageable and rivalries familiar for families around the corridor [1].The organization’s footprint stretches back more than 50 years under the Upper Montgomery Athletic Club banner, a long-standing presence on the county’s diamonds [3]. Recent seasons have delivered silverware too, with UMAC teams in the 10U and 12U brackets capturing Maryland Cal Ripken state championships [1].For updates, photos, and program notices, the club maintains an active Facebook page that serves as a quick stop for schedules and weather calls [2].
