The Weatherford region’s baseball and softball scene drew attention as junior catcher Cassara Perdue of the Weatherford Lady Roos was named District 3‑6A Catcher of the Year. Perdue led the team in batting average (.412), on‑base percentage (.457), slugging (.612), OPS (1.068), hits (35) and RBIs (22), while posting a .982 fielding percentage behind the plate.
