Who the 'Knights' are on Greensboro diamonds: Shining Light Academy and Northern Knights 9U
Around town, the 'Knights' banner points to Shining Light Academy’s high school team and to a USSSA‑registered Northern Knights 9U outfit based in Greensboro [1][2].Shining Light Academy’s Knights have multi‑year roster listings and program history on MaxPreps, with head coach Danny Robinson shown across recent seasons [1]. The Northern Knights 9U are listed at the AA level within USSSA, identified with Greensboro, North Carolina [2].For families getting into the game, the City of Greensboro runs youth baseball through Parks & Recreation, with divisions and facilities spread across town [3].On the adult side, local hardball runs through the Greensboro NABA, a wood‑bat league organizing collegiate/adult competition each season [4].Taken together, 'Knights' branding locally ties to the high school and youth setups, while adult play runs through the NABA rather than a single stand‑alone 'Greensboro Knights' club in the current listings [3][4].
