Wilmington Sharks Seek Host Families Ahead of 2026 Season
As the Wilmington Sharks prepare for the upcoming Coastal Plain League season, the team continues its outreach for host families to accommodate out‑of‑town players. Head coach Russ Burroughs noted that approximately 80 percent of the roster requires housing, which has become a critical component of the team’s operational success (wect.com). The Sharks’ opening day is scheduled for May 29, and organizers are appealing to the Wilmington community to step forward and offer lodging for players, transforming their homes into a summer “home away from home” (wect.com).
