Wilson Warbirds Debut at New Downtown Stadium
The Wilson Warbirds Baseball Club made its inaugural home appearance at a new, approximately $64 million downtown stadium on April 14, 2026. The team, formerly the Carolina Mudcats, delivered a 7–5 victory over the Hill City Howlers in front of a sell‑out crowd, marking a significant milestone in the club’s relocation and rebranding efforts. As a Single‑A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, the Warbirds now play in Wilson, North Carolina, in a facility featuring luxury suites, party patios and family amenities. The transition reflects broader regional investment in professional baseball infrastructure.
